Wung Yew’s First Day at AYG

“Eh, I think the AYG official shirt is designed for ladies.  See?  The buttons are on the opposite side.”    Oh.

When I dropped Wung Yew off at Swissotel the Stamford at 7.30this morning for the opening of the Games Village, he was brimming with excitement in anticipation of his role as Chef de Mission of the inaugural Asian Youth Games in Singapore.

Here’s a very poorly taken picture of his namecard.  I took it with my phone camera – hence the terrible photo:

Since the H1N1 outbreak, Wung Yew has been keeping tabs on the situation and how it would affect the athletes participating at the Asian Youth Games.  He is very heartened to note that no athlete pulled out of the Asian Youth Games, and all officials and athletes have supported the event fully.

Let’s join him in cheering our young athletes on at the Games Village, and wish them all the best in the Games!
